Satan Chained, Then Set Free

When Jesus comes back the second time, to set up His Millennial Kingdom, the Bible tells us that Satan is chained up in the bottomless pit during all those 1000 years. He will NOT be free to tempt or torment anyone during the Millennial Kingdom.

But . . . after the thousand years have ended, Satan is let loose for one last and final time, to come upon our Earth to wreak havoc one more time. The King James Version tells us that Satan will be let loose for a "little season." The Bible does say exactly how many years Satan will be allowed to run free again. Will it be 5 years, 10 years, 50 years, or longer? We are not told. Remember one day is as a thousand years (2 Pet.3:8) to God.
As soon as the devil is released from the bottomless pit, he will waste no time in doing what he does so well . . . deceiving the nations! He will be allowed to go to the 4 corners of the globe to get as many people as he possibly can to do his evil biddings.

The Bible says that he will get all the people who wanted to rebel against God, but were afraid to, from the Millennial Kingdom. They will then surround the camps of the saints and the beloved city, which has to be Jerusalem, and try to get them to attack God’s people and holy city.

However, the Bible tells us they won’t even be able to get to the point of being able to actually launch any type of attack against Jerusalem or any of God’s people. They get to the point where they are surrounding Jerusalem, but before they can even attack, God Himself will literally devour them by sending down fire from heaven. God will literally take them out right there on the spot! There will be no physical battles there like there will be in the battle of Armageddon. No blood will be spilled with the passing of this event.

Then the Bible tells us that Satan will then be thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone where the Antichrist and False Prophet had been thrown in earlier at the beginning of the Millennium Kingdom (Rev.19:20). When God does this . . . they will remain there forever and ever! They will be tormented day and night, forever and ever in this place. We will never hear from Satan again. God will have finally taken out this blasphemous creature from His and our sight for all of eternity!

So . . . many people ask: "If there has just been perfect peace for a thousand years in the Millennial Kingdom, WHY would God allow the devil to be set free to cause any more trouble? My humble opinion follows.

In the Millennial Kingdom, the humans who survive the events of the Tribulation will still be giving birth to children. These children will be raised up to learn about God, Jesus and all the right ways. They will have not known any demonic temptation since Satan and all of his demons will have been chained and out of sight for the entire 1000 years. It is my opinion that the sin nature of humans is still within each person. Only when the righteous were resurrected, did they receive bodies like Jesus' Body (Phil.3:21) . . . without the sin nature. So, to me, it seems that these people do have the sin nature . . . but in the Millennial Kingdom, no one dared to oppose or disobey Christ. But their hearts were deceitful and desperately wicked (Jer.17:9). So when Satan is freed, he cons these people who are really very easy to con . . . and they turn away FROM God TO the devil's side.

When Satan is let loose and gathers a certain amount of people to try and attack Jerusalem, then this means that some of these grown children shall rebel and go against God Almighty in the devil's last hurrah! The fact that Satan will be able to easily con some of them, proves to me that they had NOT been totally committed to serving the Lord in the Millennial Kingdom, or else they would have never been so easily tempted by Satan to commit this one last final act of rebellion against God’s people and His holy city, Jerusalem.

I think the main reason God will let Satan loose one more time, is to prune out these bad people who won't stay loyal and committed to serving Him. I truly believe God knows exactly WHO these rebellious ones will be, and will set them up. Luike now, I think the people will be free to make choices (a free will). The end result is in their own hands, just as it is today. God will allow Satan to roam free again and tempt these people into going against Him and His people. And right at the point where these rebellious ones are getting ready to encircle Jerusalem to attack it, God will literally destroy them right there on the spot.

What this tells us is that there will still be some people who will rebel and go against God, even in the most perfect God environment imaginable!All these people will have all been born and raised up in this Millennial Kingdom, without any bad influences of Satan, his demons, and any wicked and unsaved people, since God had already thrown all of them into Hades for the entire length of the Millennium Kingdom. These people will have also been raised up being taught WHO the real God is and about all of His awesome ways. There will be no other gods or false religions to confuse them.

But . . . even in this perfect situation, there shall be a group of these people who will still choose to rebel against God and try to overthrow Him by attacking Jerusalem once Satan is let loose.

As you examine the above, ask yourself, HOW could anyone be so stupid to think they can overthrow or go against God Almighty? How could anyone go against God when they were raised up in the most perfect environment imaginable?

What about Satan and all angels that fell with him? They were all living in Heaven with the Lord . . . with NO negative influences at all, until Satan started to go wrong through pride and conceit. They too were living in the most perfect environment imaginable, and possibly up to one-third of them decided with their own free wills to rebel against God in this perfect heavenly home.

Just as Lucifer and his angels decided to rebel and go against God in a perfect heavenly environment, there shall also be many humans that will rebel at the end of the Millennial Kingdom. God will ALLOW Satan to be the one to tempt and cause these rebellious ones to fall. Just like it was Satan who probably tempted and caused all of the other fallen angels to fall from grace and favor in Heaven, and just like it was Satan who tempted Adam and Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, and tempts us daily.

God knows ALL things (Isa.42:9; 46:9-10). He knows that there are going to be a certain number of people who will try and come against Him, even in the perfect Millennial Kingdom. He will expose them, and then prune them out by allowing Satan to deceive them like he did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Once God has accomplished His purpose, there will be NO rotton apples in the barrel to spoil the good ones! Those that remain firm to the end will eventually inherit God’s best for all of humanity . . . The New Heaven and the New Earth.

This first Passage tells us that Satan will be let loose for a little while after he is released from the bottomless pit. Revelation 20:1-3 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, [3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (KJV)

#2. This next Passagel tells us what happens after he is released from the bottomless pit.
Revelation 20:7-10 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, [8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. [9] And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. [10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (KJV)

But, before God gives us our final reward with the New Heaven and New Earth, there is one more major event that must take place. It is called the Great White Throne Judgment. This event will determine the eternal fate of all of the unsaved people who have ever lived.
