Blessings or Curses

Blessing; English meaning: The act of, or expression of good wishes; A special favor granted by God; praise; thankfulness; prosper; happiness; fortunate; well off; worship of God.

Curse; English meaning: Appealing to a evil supernatural power for evil to befall someone or something; a scourge; any profane oath; doomed; condemnation; bring down God's wrath upon.

In the Old Testament, 'blessing', or a form of it is used 399 times and curse, or some form of it is used 248 times. In the New Testament bless is found 109 times and curse is found 26 times. Blessing is spoken of far more times than cursing. Maybe that is why we are more aware of blessings than curses.
