HIS SERVANTS' MINISTRY

Welcome to our website

Which is the TRUTH of the Gospel?

The TRUTH of the Gospel boils down to the Sacrifice Christ Jesus made on the cross of Calvary, by taking OUR place on that cross . . . and paying the penalty for OUR sins. This is the TRUTH of the Gospel in the Bible. Everything else you read in the Bible must line up with that TRUTH! IF you read something in the Word of God that seems as God is bringing trouble to His children, you need to go back to this TRUTH!

The TRUTH is: Jesus was smitten (bruised) on OUR behalf. Jesus carried OUR sins to the cross with Him . . . and His Sacrifice was sufficient to His Father! Isaiah 53 clearly states that He bore (tolerated, withstood) OUR misery when He was suffering for OUR transgressions and was bruised for OUR iniquities. The chastisement of OUR peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed.

That is the TRUTH upon which you can base everything in the Word of God. If it was the will of God that Jesus be bruised for you and me, then it can never be the will of God that we shall be bruised. If it is God’s will that you be bruised, then Jesus was bruised in vain. If Jesus was bruised in vain, then the substitutional Sacrifice did not work, and Romans 10:9-10 has no power. And, if Romans 10:9-10 has no power, then you and I are still lost and headed for Hell! Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (KJV)

Jesus was our Substitute on that cross. We can base everything around that TRUTH. Because of what Jesus did at Calvary, IF we believe God and accept what His Son did on the cross for us, we are on our way to eternal life in Heaven! We will NEVER see the eternal pits of Hell. We have victory in Jesus!
1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV
Do you believe Jesus paid the price for your sin? Please thank Him now!

The TRUTH of the Gospel is that God the Father has provided a One and Only Way of Salvation for mankind through the Gift of His Son to the world. Christ Jesus suffered as a Sacrifice for sin, He overcame death, and now offers a share in His victory with all who will accept it.
It is impossible to clearly and rightly teach the New Testament to believers without the Old Testament details. As we study God’s ONE and ONLY Plan of Salvation as it has been revealed in the Mosiac Writings and Prophecy of the Old Testament, the goal is to encourage you study more in the Old Testament Scriptures.

Consider the following:
The first mention of The Gospel is found in: Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (KJV)
This first preaching of the Gospel took place immediately after man’s fall in the Garden of Eden. In this verse God promised that one day He would send a Saviour who would destroy Satan and deliver man from his power. This shows that Jesus has always been God’s only provision for our salvation; it also shows that the message of the Gospel is for the whole world.

<><>Thy Seed:
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come
Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (KJV)
Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; (KJV)
Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (KJV)
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (KJV)
Act 13:10  And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? (KJV)
1 John 3:8-10 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.(KJV)

<><>Her seed:
Psalm 132:11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. (KJV)
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (KJV)
Jer. 31:22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man. (KJV)
Micah 5:3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. (KJV)
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (KJV)
Luke 1:31-35 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (KJV)

Promises of Christ’s First Coming in The Old Testament
Fulfilled prophecy confirms that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God who was sent to be the Saviour of the world. There are over 60 major Old Testament prophecies about Christ’s First Coming that were fulfilled in the New Testament . . . the place of His Birth, the time of His Birth, the manner of His Birth, His being betrayed for 30 pieces of silver, the way He died, the reaction of people, the piercing of His Hands and Feet, His burial in a rich man’s tomb and His Resurrection, are just a few of the Old Testament prophecies fulfilled in the life of Christ.
In Genesis 3:15, God promised that one day He would send a Saviour who would destroy Satan and deliver mankind from his power. This proves that Jesus has always been God’s ONLY Provision for our salvation; it also shows that the Gospel is for the whole world.

Portraits Of Christ’s Person and Work in the Old Testament
Definition of a “Type”: A type is a person, event or thing in the Old Testament that foretells or predicts something in the New Testament. Following are some of the main types of Christ in the Old Testament Scriptures. These portraits of Christ in Old Testament study help us understand more clearly the Person and Work of Christ as revealed in the New Testament.
<><>1. The Story of Cain and Abel (Genesis 4:4)
<><>2. The Offering of Isaac (Genesis 22)
<><>3. The Passover Lamb (Exodus 12)
<><>4. The Tabernacle (Exodus 25-30)
<><>5. The Five Levitical Offerings (Leviticus 1-7)
<><>6. The Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16)
<><>7. The Feasts of Israel (Leviticus 23)

How people were saved during the time of the Old Testament is quite confusing to some. We know that, in the New Testament time, salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (John 1:12-13; 3:3-5; Eph. 2:8-9). Jesus is the Way (John 14:6) . . . the ONLY WAY! But, before Christ, what was the way?

A common misunderstanding about the Old Testament way of salvation is that Jews were saved by keeping the Law. That is NOT true! God clearly tells us this in His Word.
Rom. 3:20-22 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (KJV)
Gal. 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. (KJV)
Gal. 3:22-26 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (KJV)
The Law was never intended to save anyone; the purpose of the Law was to make us “conscious of our sin.”
Gal. 3:8-9 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. (KJV) . . . Dear one, Abraham BELIEVED God . . . so, believing God is faith in God! Rom. 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. (KJV)
Gen. 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. (KJV) Abraham could NOT have been saved by keeping the Law, because he lived over 400 years BEFORE the Law was given! Abraham believed God . . .  Abraham had faith in God. People were saved in Old Testament times the same way they are saved today, that being believing God, that Jesus paid our sin’s penalty on the cross!

Paul then shows that David was also saved by faith.
Rom. 4:6-8 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness. (KJV)
Romans 4:6-8 quotes: Psalm 32:1-2 A Psalm of David, Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. (KJV)

Paul continues to establish that the Old Testament Way of salvation was through faith alone. Rom. 4:23-25 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (KJV)
This was not written for Abraham’s sake alone . . . the FACT of Abraham's believing and receiving salvation through that faith is NOT recorded just as a mere circumstance in the patriarch's life! It was intended to honor him, and also show us Light to see the Truth of salvation. The mention of Abraham's faith has a much more extensive plan than simply to honor Abraham. It is recorded as the model for us, showing us HOW God will save both Jews and Gentiles! There is NO other way of salvation, just Jesus (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). ALL have sinned (Rom.3:23), and ALL must either be saved by faith through Christ Jesus, OR perish in an everlasting Hell! Our salvation is by faith in Christ.
There really is a Hell! . . . There Really IS a HELL!!

#1. The death of Christ was an atonement or amends for the sin of the world: Rom.3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (KJV)
Rom. 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
for Him hath God set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His Blood, (KJV)
Rom. 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (KJV)
Eph. 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (KJV)
Eph. 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (KJV)
Col. 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (KJV)
Col. 1:20-22 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: (KJV)
1 Tim. 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (KJV) . . . He gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity.
Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (KJV)
Heb. 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (KJV)
Heb. 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (KJV)

#1. Christ offered ONCE to bear the sins of many.
#2. As His death was an atonement for our sins, so His Resurrection was the proof and pledge of our eternal life.
#3. The doctrine of justification by faith, is one of the outstanding displays of the mercy of God to mankind. It is so very clear that ALL may understand it; and so free that ALL may attain it . . . IF they so desire!

We ALL are sinners, condemned to an eternal Hell, and completely unable to save our own soul. But, God, in His mercy, has provided a Saviour for us.
Christ Jesus has redeemed our life from Hell by giving up His own. He died in our place, thus making amends to God for OUR transgressions; and offers us the pardon He has purchased, on the simple condition, that we BELIEVE that His death is a sufficient Sacrifice for our sin in God’s Eyes; and that we trust Him by confident faith. Have you brought it to the throne of God, and thanked Him for it on your own behalf? Our faith in Jesus' Sacrifice shall be imputed to us for righteousness. 1 Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (KJV) Our believing God and our faith in Jesus' Sacrifice gives us that salvation which Christ has bought by His precious Blood. 1 John 5:10-12 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV)
1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (KJV)

Much of Romans and Galatians speaks of the fact that there is only ONE Way of salvation and only ONE TRUE Gospel message. Throughout history people have tried to pervert the Gospel by adding human works to it (Mat.15:9), insisting that certain things had to be done to “earn” salvation. But the Bible’s clear message is that the way of salvation has always been, only through faith. In the Old Testament, it was faith in the Promise that God would send a Saviour someday. Those who lived in the time of the Old Testament looked forward to the Messiah and believed God’s Promise of the Coming Servant of the LORD (Isaiah 53). Those who exercised that faith were saved. Today we look back on the life, death and resurrection of the Saviour and are saved by faith in Jesus Christ’s atonement for our sins (Romans 10:9-10).

The Gospel is NOT just an exclusively New Testament message. Gal. 3:8-9 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. (KJV)
The Old Testament also contained the Gospel, because the Scripture tell us that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the Gospel in advance to Abraham: Gen.12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (KJV) . . . PLEASE do NOT curse Israel! God will curse YOU if you do!

As early as Genesis 3:15, we see the Promise of a Coming Saviour, and all through the Old Testament there are hundreds of Promises that the Messiah would “save His people from their sins” (Mat.1:21; Isa.53:5-6). Job’s faith was in the fact that he knew that his “Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth” (Job 19:25). Clearly, Old Testament saints were aware of the Promised Redeemer, and they were saved by faith in that Saviour, the exact same way people are saved today. There is no other way. If you insist there is another way, you are calling GOD a Liar!
Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV) . . . This
quotes Psalm 118:22.
