Enoch and Elijah in Heaven

1 Cor. 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. [KJV] Some say that Enoch and Elijah could not be translated (raptured) and taken to Heaven without glorified bodies. I totally disagree. With God, ALL things are possible (Mark 9:23).

Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. [KJV]

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. [KJV]

2 Kings 2:1 And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. 2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. [KJV] These verses tell me that both these men are in Heaven with God. And I do not believe that they have glorified bodies as yet. Why? Because a glorified body and is not subject to death, decay, deformity, or disease, and these two (according to what I believe) will be the two witnesses in Revelation 11. They will prophecy for 3 1/2 years and then be killed by the Antichrist. So, they cannot possibly have their glorified bodies yet. A glorified body is incorruptible.

[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. [KJV] Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, so how can these two be in Heaven? If Enoch and Elijah do not have glorified bodies, then they still have their sinful bodies of flesh and blood. Look at these words again. It does NOT say that flesh and blood cannot exist in Heaven --- it says that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. An inheritance is something that becomes your legal and permanent possession. Enoch and Elijah have not yet inherited their permanent possession. That will come when they receive their glorified bodies --- AFTER they both die (Rev.11:7) and are resurrected (Rev.20:4-6).

What about age? you might ask. These two prophets have been gone for thousands of years. Aging is no problem in Heaven.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. [KJV]

I truly believe every Word that is in the Bible, and I truly believe these two men are in Heaven somewhere waiting for their next assignment.

Rev. 11:1-19 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. [2] But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. [3] And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. [4] These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. [5] And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. [6] These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. [7] And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. [8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. [9] And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. [10] And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. [11] And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. [12] And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. [13] And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. [KJV]
