Welcome to our Web Site

PROPHECIES CONCERNING THE TIMES IN WHICH WE ARE NOW LIVING . . .

Only in our generation have we seen the coming together of so many of these signs or prophecies. We must consider the Bible’s 100% record of accuracy. God does NOT lie! What is written in His Word, shall come to be!

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (KJV)

1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (KJV)

Prophecies of Jesus

#1 Matthew 24:1-2 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. [2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. (KJV) He asked His disciples: Do you see all these buildings? I assure you, they will be so completely demolished that not one stone will be left on top of another! As they looked at the huge, glorious Temple, the disciples found Jesus’ Words about its utter destruction very hard to believe. But the temple was destroyed, only 40 years later when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in A.D. 70.

#2 Mat.24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (KJV) The disciples had many questions, just as we do today. (1) “When shall these things be?” . . . when one stone would not be left upon another; (2) “What shall be the sign of thy coming?” . . . The answer to this question is found in verses 23–51; and (3) “What shall be the sign . . . of the end of the world?”

Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the very place where the prophet Zechariah predicts that the Messiah would stand when He came to establish His Kingdom (Zec.14:4). Jesus’ reply pointed to the events that would take place before the end of the age. He said that His disciples should be less concerned with knowing the exact date and more concerned with being prepared; living God’s way continually so that no matter when Jesus came . . . they would be ready!

#3 Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. (KJV) “Take heed that no man deceive you” is characteristic of this entire age. Jesus gives this word of caution because there will be much deception, especially during the Tribulation Period when the Anti-christ will appear. Peter also warns us: 2 Peter 2:1-2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. [2] And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. (KJV) We are to beware of multitude of false teachers! We must test them all by the Bible. Just because somone has a smooth, flattering way of speech (gift of gab), do NOT believe what they say without first checking their words with the Bible. Check out everything you hear or read . . . including me!

#4 Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (KJV) There have been in the past (Jim Jones, Koresh, etc.) are now (in Abilene,Texas, in Africa) and will continue to be many people who will claim to be Christ. I think that Jesus, possibly looked down to the end of the age and to the Great Tribulation Period. At the beginning of His discourse, I think He gives us a picture of this present age. I know that there are many good Bible teachers, much better than I am, who say that verses 5–8 is speaking of the Tribulation Period. It is your right to disagree with me. But, I think that our Lord is not referring to the Great Tribulation until we reach verse 9 of this chapter.

#5 Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (KJV) Wars and rumors of wars are not the sign that we are at the end of the age, by any means. There have been many major wars in the past few thousand years and only about 200 years of peace. We will hear about wars and rumors of wars, but we should not be troubled because all these things must come to pass, but still it will not be the end of the age. Man will never solve the problem of war. The League of Nations could not solve this problem, and the United Nations will not be able to solve it either. There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace comes.

#6 Matthew 24:7-8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. (KJV) False christs, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes characterize the entire church age, but they will INTENSIFY as we draw near to the end of the age. People are starving to death by the thousands. And it is going to increase. But, the black horse of famine (Rev. 6:5–6) hasn’t appeared yet. At the end of the age the black horse and its rider will come forth. What we see today is just the beginning of sorrows.

I believe that it is here that the Lord begins to speak of the time of Tribulation. You and I are living in the “age of the church” or “age of the Holy Spirit.” The Bible divides the world today into three groups of people: the Jews, the Gentiles, and the church of God (1 Cor. 10:32). In this age God is calling out a people to His Name from both Jews and Gentiles to make up the third group, the church. It is this third group that will be taken out of the world at the time of the Rapture. Then the Great Tribulation will begin immediately after that. I think that verse 9 speaks of this beginning.

#7 Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. (KJV) WHO is the you? Jesus certainly is not talking about the now gone church, but the nation Israel. The affliction He is talking about is anti-Semitism, and it will be worldwide and far worse than they have ever known.

As long as the TRUE church is in the world, there will never be worldwide anti-Semitism because the TRUE church would resist it. No genuine believer in the Lord Jesus could ever hate the Jews; this is impossible. I think the liberals are presenting a false front to the Jews and that in the end, will turn against them. But as long as the TRUE church is in the world, there will NOT be worldwide anti-Semitism. This will take place AFTER the church has been removed at the Rapture (1 Thes.4:13-18).

#8 Matthew 24:10-11 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. [11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (KJV) The church is warned against false teachers, and Israel is warned against false prophets. After the church has been removed, Israel is warned against false prophets.

#9 Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (KJV) This is a regulation. There are many regulations in this Olivet Discourse which we can apply to our own day. A TRUE believer cannot live just like the rest of the world lives. There are many sinful practices that have crept into many (probably most) of today’s churches, and the pastors don’t seem to be doing anything about it. When iniquity (evil, wickedness, immorality, sin) abounds, the love of many grows cold, and this will be worsen with each passing day. This is happening now!

#10 Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (KJV) WHO endures to the end? Those whom He seals. Those who refuse to accept the mark of the beast. The Good Shepherd, in all ages, will bring His sheep through to the end. When He starts with a hundred sheep, He will end up with a hundred sheep!

When someone backslides and goes back into sin; are they saved? I cannot answer this, because only God knows. Something to consider: pigs will eventually end up in the pigpen, while the prodigal sons will all find their way back to the Father’s house. Peter says, “… the sow that was washed [has returned] to her wallowing in the mire” (2 Pet. 2:22). Sooner or later pigs will always go back to the pigpen where they belong. But, “He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Sometimes a Christian, will get into a pigpen (Luke 15:11-32), but since he is a son, he will get out someday. Why? Because he has a wonderful Shepherd. “The same shall be saved.”

#11 Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (KJV) The Gospel of the Kingdom is what John the Baptist preached: “Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mat. 3:2). And the Lord Jesus began His ministry with that same message: “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mat. 4:17). Jesus also sent His apostles out with that message (Mat. 10).

Every offering BEFORE Christ came . . . looked forward to the cross of Christ, and every remembrance AFTER He came, looks back to the cross of Christ. Christ and Him crucified is the Gospel!

Col. 1:5-6 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; [6] Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: (KJV) Our hope of Heaven is laid up for us in and throught the Gospel of Christ!

#12 Matthew 24:15-16 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) [16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: (KJV) Jesus spoke of another ominous development, the Abomination of Desolation. About three and a half centuries after Daniel's prophecy (Daniel 11:31; 12:11), in 168 B.C., Antiochus Epiphanes' army entered Jerusalem, slaughtered many of its inhabitants and sacrificed pigs on the altar of the temple. But, was there was another abomination of desolation? According to Josephus, the Romans, "upon the burning of the holy house itself, and of all the buildings lying round about it, brought their ensigns to the temple, and set them over against its eastern gate; and there did they offer sacrifices to them . . ." (Wars, vi, 1). So once again an abominable sacrifice was offered at the site of the temple, which did in fact lie desolate at the hand of these Roman soldiers. There is yet another Abomination of Desolation, yet unfulfilled (Rev.13:14-15). The False Prophet shall make an image of the Beast and set it in the Temple of God.
Luke 21:20-22 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. [21] Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. [22] For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.(KJV) Luke adds something very important! Jerusalem would be encircled by armies just before the Abomination of Desolation. When we see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then we shall KNOW that its desolation is near.
