#5 of the Eight ‘Last-Days’ Judgments

<><><>5. The Judgment of the Nations . . . Parable of the Sheep and Goats . . .  on Earth, at the end of the Tribulation, to decide which nations shall enter the Kingdom.  Mat. 25:31-46 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?45  Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (KJV)
In all of Matthew Chapter 25, the Lord is warning God's people to the FACT that we must ready ourselves for His Coming. This is certainly true in the next few verses.
During the Great Tribulation Period, all nations will have the opportunity to hear and receive God's message. We are told that the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all nations . . . BUT . . . as in the past, there will be some who will reject God's messengers, Christ's brethren, and thereby reject Christ. BEWARE!!! The Gospel of Matthew brings us more about JUDGMENT than any other Book in the New Testament, except the Book of Revelation. The Judgment of the Nations involves ALL historical nations. And ANY nation that was ever anti-Semitic even in past dark ages will NOT be excused! Each and every nation shall answer on an individual basis for their cruelty and hatred to Israel and the Jewish people, as well as all their other sins. This will take place at the Great White Throne (Rev. 20:11–15).
Daniel 9 classifies a seventieth “week” (seven years) in Israel’s history that follows a long interval (the two-thousand-year church age) and is yet in the future.
Daniel 9:24-27 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Christ the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Christ be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (KJV)

The Apostle John sees this seven-year period at the end of the age as consisting of two equal parts of 42 months (3 1/2 years) each (Rev. 11:2–3; 12:14; 13:5). Mid-way in this seven year period, the Antichrist will break his peace-agreement (covenant) with Israel and stop the worship in the newly rebuilt Temple (Dan. 9:27). This event will mark the beginning of a 42-month period of intense persecution. Jesus referred to this final three-anda-half years of the Tribulation as the “Great Tribulation” (Mat. 24:21) . . . which is a final period of vicious, anti-Semitic persecution just before the Second Coming of Christ.

Some interpreters say that the nations will be judged not only on how they treated Israel and the Jewish people during the Tribulation, but also upon their other evils as well.
Joel 3:2-3 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. (KJV)
People who do not believe in the future Millennium, and also some premillennialists, compare the Judgment of the Nations with the Great White Throne Judgment mentioned in Revelation 20. The Judgment of the Nations and the Great White Throne Judgment are TWO separate Judgments!
A countless throng from “all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues” will come to faith during the seven-year Tribulation. Rev. 7:9-10 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. (KJV)
These shall survive the horrifying forces unleashed on the Earth during that time.
Rev. 7:13-17 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (KJV)
Consider Things Christians Should Know about this 144,000.  They:
Are sealed by an angel of God.
Are specially selected from the tribes of Israel.
Stand on Mount Zion with "a Lamb."
Have the Father's Name written on their foreheads.
Sing a new song no one else can sing.
Are redeemed from the Earth.
Are called "virgins."
Are not defiled with women (false churches).
Are not Jehovah’s Witnesses.

This Judgment of the Nations in Matthew 25 is also known as the “Judgment of the Gentiles,” and the “Sheep and Goat Judgment” (25:32–33). But, all three of these terms . . . Judgment of the Nations, Judgment of the Gentiles, and Sheep and Goat Judgment . . . all refer to the SAME event. This Judgment is described as a Judgment of Nations, not people.
This Judgment is to address nations and tends to highlight their shared responsibility for the anti-Semitic policies of their governments. The last days background points to nations that will increasingly persecute Israel and the Jewish people as a matter of state policy during the future Great Tribulation. On the other hand, the verdicts handed down by “the King” in Chapter 25 are not addressed to the nations jointly . . . but to the people who are their leaders. When these nations are brought to judgment, their national leaders respond as individuals to the Judge’s specific inquiries. All the nations shall plead ‘not guilty’!
Matthew 25:44-45 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. (KJV)
Consider then, that the reason of these nations’ condemnation is the neglect of duty, or because those in charge "did it not."
So, this is a conversation between individuals, including the King Jesus, Who is their Judge. It is quite clear, that the shared responsibility for national anti-Semitism falls down to the individual leaders of those nations. That is why voting is so important.
